Lydite® Farming Fence Tension Spring,Stainless Steel, Large Design
This tension spring is made entirely from stainless steel. It compensates for temperature-induced changes in the length of electric fence wires and prevents the material from drooping.
Why use a temperature balance spring? When the weather is warm the wire will expand, and when it's cold the wire will contract. The fence tension spring compensates for length differences and prevents the electric fence wire from drooping whilst keeping the fence taut. Using a balance spring also allows you to increase the distance between the electric fence posts and therefore save money. Additional benefits: The gently tensioned wires take pressure away from the corner posts, damage to the material is avoided and the risk of injury is lower. The 435 mm-long spring is suitable for steel wires up to 2.5 in diameter.
