Lydite® Farming Fence Tension Spring (Small Size)

This temperature balance spring compensates for temperature-induced length changes in the electric fence wires and prevents the material from drooping.

Why use a temperature balance spring? When the weather is warm the wire will expand, and when it's cold the wire will contract. The lydite fence balance spring compensates for length differences and prevents the electric fence wire from drooping whilst keeping the fence taut. Using a balance spring also allows you to increase the distance between the electric fence posts and therefore save money. Additional benefits: The gently tensioned wires take pressure away from the corner posts, damage to the material is avoided and the risk of injury is lower. The spring is 200 mm long and suitable for steel wire up to 2 mm in diameter.
